Chilly Start, 60s Ahead

Published Sun, 23 Feb 2025 13:23:29 GMT

Feeling the freeze again this morning as temperatures start off in the mid 20s for many locations outside the City of Boston. While it’s a cold start, it’s also a clear start with light winds, so certainly a manageable chill as a nice seasonable afternoon is in our future. That’ll place temps in the lower 50s with light breezes and sunshine fading a bit behind filtering high clouds. Tonight won’t be as cold, mid 30s to low 40s, and that’ll set the stage for a higher launching pad for temps to take off tomorrow. By the afternoon, expect highs to near 60, allowing for a great day to get some of that late Fall yard work done. Friday, we’ll push the numbers into the mid 60s, peaking the warmth for the week. Friday night, into Saturday morning we’ll track a cold front sliding through as well as an area of low pressure, off our coast, passing by. This increases the chance for rain during that timeframe. If the storm is quick enough, we’ll d...

It’s time for rest and reflection. With seven games to play, here are seven Patriots thoughts and nuggets entering the break:Mac has lost the locker roomAfter he was benched for a second time this season during a Week 5 loss to New Orleans, several members of the organization lost faith in Mac Jones. (The Hill) - Stack Data Strategy is projecting that former President Trump would beat President Joe Biden for the presidency if the election were held today. Stack published a polling model on Monday that found Biden wining the popular vote but losing the electoral college by 292 votes for Trump, to 246 votes for Biden. It projected that Biden would lose four states he won in 2020: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona and Georgia. It projected Biden as the winner in two other swing states of Michigan and Nevada. “Our research is the largest exercise of its kind so far this cycle and we can confidently say that as things currently stand, if Donald Trump is selected as the Republican candidate, he is likely to win,” Head of Stack Data Strategy Joe Bedell said in a statement. The research polled about 15,000 respondents from across the United States between Oct. 12 and Nov. 3. The researchers then used the respondents’ answers to power a model that projected the 2024 electoral map base...
